Description
Traveling Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Travel across major data center sites- typically about 18-24 months in duration
- Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities to ensure project completion within schedule and budget.
- Coordinate daily field operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Supervise subcontractors and construction crews, providing leadership and resolving any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align construction progress with project objectives.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct site inspections to mitigate risks and ensure a safe work environment.
- Monitor and report project progress, identifying and addressing potential delays or challenges proactively.
- Ensure all work complies with design specifications, building codes, and company quality standards.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, logs, reports, and records of job site activities.
- Facilitate communication between teams, ensuring seamless coordination and problem resolution.
- Drive efficiency by implementing best practices and innovative construction methodologies.
Profile
The Travel Superintendent must have:
- Proven experience in data center construction or, for mid-level candidates, strong backgrounds in MEP-intensive projects, hospitals, or life sciences.
- Tenure and stability in previous roles - no frequent job changes (no more than three jobs in the last seven years).
- Experience working for a general contractor (not developers or owners).
- Strong leadership qualities, confident decision-making skills, and a proactive mindset.
Job Offer
The Travel Superintendent will receive:
- Highly Competive Salary- Upwards of $210K Base Salary
- 10% additional incentive on base salary for traveling employees
- Travel allowance: $1,000/month
- Living allowance: $2,500/month
