Michael's Salon and Spa a leading salon in the Dayton area for over 50 years has an opportunity to join the team as a part-time Guest Service Coordinator/Receptionist! This opportunity requires the ability to work late afternoons to close on Mondays and Wednesdays and rotating Saturdays.

Summary
As a Guest Service Coordinator/Receptionist, you are the first point of contact for our clients, embodying our commitment to warmth and professionalism. You’ll manage appointments, handle inquiries, and ensure every guest has a seamless and delightful experience from start to finish. Alongside these responsibilities, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our facility to State board standards and managing our retail products displays and upselling efforts. Additionally, you'll handle processing payments for services and provide solutions to any guest concerns or issues that may arise.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome clients with warmth and professionalism, assisting with check-in and check-out processes
- Manage appointment bookings and maintain an organized schedule
- Respond promptly and courteously to phone calls and inquiries
- Provide detailed information about our services, products, and promotions
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and always inviting
- Assist with closing duties to ensure a smooth daily operation
- Maintain the facility to meet state board standards, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to regulations
- Oversee retail product displays, including stocking and organizing products
- Utilize product knowledge to upsell retail items and recommend products tailored to clients' needs
- Process payments for services accurately and efficiently
- Address and resolve guest concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a similar role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, scheduling software)
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Passion for beauty, wellness, and creating positive experiences for others
- Knowledge of retail product inventory management and upselling techniques is an advantage
