We are looking for a Collection Specialist with 1-2 years of experience to join our team. If you're skilled at managing accounts, negotiating payments, and problem-solving, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Monitor the firm's accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
- Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments
- Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customers
- Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
- Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.
- Working closely with the Collections Manager to discuss accounts that are not successfully resolved
- Heavy inbound / outbound calls, emails and communication
- Handling unordinary circumstances at the requests of the manager and / or Controller
- Working w / our leasing office to de-escalate any issues that arise
Basic Requirements
- Clear verbal communication and the ability to speak clearly and professionally with customers.
- 1-2 years of experience in collections, customer service, or related fields.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
- Good listening and communication skills
- Problem-solving, negotiating and critical thinking skills
