The Outside Sales Representative at Michaelangelo's Sustainable Landscapes will focus on generating new business through proactive cold calling, cold knocking, and building relationships with potential clients in high-end residential and commercial markets. While inbound leads will be provided, success in this role requires a relentless drive to prospect, network, and cultivate new opportunities. This position is ideal for a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and thrives in a competitive, commission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Actively prospect and generate new business through cold calls, cold knocking, and networking within high-end residential neighborhoods and commercial properties.
- Client Engagement: Build lasting relationships with potential clients through in-person meetings, calls, and follow-ups, creating tailored solutions for their landscaping needs.
- Sales Presentations: Present and demonstrate Michaelangelo's Sustainable Landscapes' premium landscaping maintenance services to high-end clients, emphasizing both aesthetic appeal and environmental responsibility.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with prospective clients, close sales, and ensure contracts are signed, with a strong focus on exceeding sales targets.
- Inbound Leads: Manage and convert inbound leads into opportunities while still maintaining focus on proactive sales tactics.
- Collaboration: Work with project management teams to ensure smooth transitions from the sales process to project execution.
- Market Research: Keep up-to-date with trends in landscaping, sustainability, and luxury markets to provide the best solutions to clients.
- Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, contributing directly to the growth and success of the company.
- Reporting: Provide detailed sales reports, including lead generation activity, forecasts, and feedback on market trends and client needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven outside sales experience, ideally in high-end services such as landscaping, architecture, or luxury products.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, cold call, and cold knock to generate new business.
- Strong understanding of high-end residential and commercial landscaping services, with a focus on sustainability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with high-net-worth clients.
- Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, client accounts, and follow-ups simultaneously.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling luxury services or products to high-end clients.
- Horticultural background in landscape design and/or maintenance
- Strong existing network within the real estate, residential, or high-end commercial sectors.
