What is the role?
Michaels Energy is seeking a Quickbase Developer to support energy efficiency programs. This position will develop, implement and maintain our Quickbase software application and web technologies that are utilized by both internal employees and external clients and customers. The Quickbase Developer will collaborate across many departments to create efficient and user-friendly applications. We are looking for someone who will live our company values, has a technical understanding of Quickbase and knows how to translate this knowledge into effective solutions for internal and external clients.
Application Development
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to capture and document business requirements for both new Quickbase applications and additional features to existing applications
- Develop and deploy solutions using fundamental Quickbase capabilities
- Assist with the development and deployment of automation Pipelines to interact with internal and 3rd party APIs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation
- Prepare test plans
Application Support and Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with Quickbase applications
- Deliver additional feature requests from application stakeholders
- Build reports and dashboards for internal and external customers
- Develop and/or deploy Business Analytics/Business Intelligence (BA/BI) approaches for actionable insights and data visualization
- Write and maintain technical manuals for end-users as needed
- Train users on how to use Quickbase applications, including video tutorials and live demonstrations with external clients
- Stay up to date on the latest Quickbase features and best practices

- Designed and launched Quickbase feature requests from internal users
- Completed re-design of assigned Quickbase applications
What are we looking for?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Programming, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
- 3 years experience with Quickbase
- Familiarity with web technologies including HTML, CSS & JavaScript
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
- Ability to travel to up 5% for corporate onboarding, training and client visits
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience with Quickbase
- Expertise in developing Quickbase pipelines and interacting with 3rd party APIs
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Experience working in the energy industry or an engineering firm
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL querying
- Understanding of basic statistical analysis and visualization techniques
- Curiosity and passion for technology and programming

Pay Scale
$90,000 - $110,000 regional adjustment if applicable
