We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control procedures, and the ability to assist with various dental procedures. Duties

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files using Dentrix software.
  • Handle infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
  • Assist with medical coding for insurance purposes when necessary.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices within a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in pediatrics or pediatric dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.75 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33 per week
