WE ARE HIRING A PART-TIME HYGIENIST 70 / HR

Dentistry is improving and changing at a fast pace and we are looking for a hygienist who not only knows the oral-systemic connection while providing quality care, but who is a reliable and an exceptional communicator! She or He would need to be ready to learn, as needed, to use the right technology to offer the best care possible for our long-standing patient family.

Our long-standing private practice of 30 years is fully digital and has a spa-like feel that you experience upon entering. Our adorable therapy dog greeter is the first one to say hello and loves to spend time with our team! Dr. Michelle Ament promotes Wellness and has been trained at the world renown Kois Institute and enjoys providing mentorship other dentists and hygienists.

Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist Responsibilities

  • Perform dental cleanings and oral exams
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
  • Treat and prevent gum disease
  • Take dental x-rays
  • Use an intraoral scanner and educate the patient
  • Administer fluoride treatments
  • Assist the dentist during procedures
  • Maintain and update patient records
  • Follow infection control protocols
  • Provide exceptional patient care
  • Perform laser gingival therapy
  • Cross-trained at the front
  • Option of assisted hygiene
  • Perform Regular equipment maintenance
  • Setup appointments and maintain patients on recall
  • Keep area adequately stocked with supplies
  • Chart existing oral conditions and recommended treatment accurately
  • Setup trays
  • Discuss and check to make sure that all previously recommended treatment has been completed
  • Administer anesthetic as needed for doctors or his / her patients
  • Keep accurate and detailed notes
  • Sterilize instruments and trays
  • Present patients for the day, special notes, outstanding treatment at morning huddle

    • Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
  • Current state dental hygiene license
  • CPR certification
  • Must be willing to grow and learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work well in a team
  • Experience with digital x-rays and dental software, Eaglesoft preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Open to assisted hygiene or single column
  • Commitment to continuing education in dental hygiene

  • Monday-Thursday 7 : 30-4 : 30pm, flexible on days worked, not hours
