What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Specialist position at Michelle's Vocational Placement, LLC?
- Employment Specialist will meet with clients to work on their resume, apply for jobs, and accompany them on job interviews. Employment Specialist will also work with clients at their worksite and be responsible for client(s) at employment site and monitor performance and behavior at the employment site; work with worksite to troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
- Employment Specialist will be required to provide Customized Employment services, Job Development services, and Job Coaching services.
- Willing to travel to Scott County, Muscatine County, and Rock Island County
- Your schedule will be based on the schedule of the client.
- Standing during shifts will be expected.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Training will be required.

- Bring awareness and demonstrate a positive attitude toward cultural and socio-economic diversity.
- Responsible for gathering and maintaining records of data collected for community worksite clients for the progress monitoring.
- Act as an advocate for the MVP, LLC within the community.
- Flexibility based on client needs.
- Job Coaching at Community job sites to assure that the client is successful and promotes a positive view of the company.
- Meets with MVP, LLC owner to assure that the employment placement is a good fit for the client and that the progress made is ample and troubleshoot any adaptations that need to be made for the client.
- Report to MVP, LLC owner to assure that client needs are met.
- Determine prerequisite skills for job placement to assure client’s success and growth.
- Assist client with filling out applications, searching for positions that are a good fit, promoting interest in positions that the client may not be familiar with, job shadowing, building skill levels in the areas of self-advocating, communications, appropriate behavior, and appropriate work relationships.
- Needs to show initiative, organization, responsibility, and be able to take direction and guidance.
- Recognition of the need for confidentiality with respect to clients’ right to privacy.
- Have open availability to work days, evenings, and some weekends.
- Additional responsibilities may be added on a need basis.
- Will be evaluated by MVP, LLC owner.
Special Qualifications Desired

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
