Service Technician Role
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times by following established protocols and procedures to prevent accidents.
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial weighing equipment in the shop and at customer sites, often working independently.
- Attend technical training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Troubleshoot Junction boxes to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Meet ISO9001 Quality Management System objectives by adhering to processes and standards.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for service technicians to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Utilize mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical movement concepts to perform tasks effectively.
- Read and interpret electronic schematic diagrams and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Diagnose and repair low-voltage electronic instruments to minimize downtime.
- Pass ongoing safety training and adhere to customer site-specific safety guidelines.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Vocational technical training or equivalent experience is essential.
- Electronics education or background is preferred.
- Military electronics training or PLC programming experience is a plus.
Qualifications/Physical Demands
- Travel is required via company vehicle within a 100-mile radius of the office.
- Able to handle tools and lift up to 50 pounds to perform repair activities.
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Background Screen, Drug, and Alcohol testing as required.
- Capable of safely lifting and walking with a 50 lb test weight for distances up to 50 feet.
