We are looking for a friendly face to add to our optical team! Michiana Eye Center is a five-location ophthalmology and optometry practice with a commitment to the preservation and restoration of vision, and the prevention of blindness. Optical receptionists provide ancillary support to the opticians and are essential in ensuring that patients have a positive experience while visiting the optical shop. As an optical receptionist, you will be responsible for answering phone calls, processing patient payments, helping with the adjustments and repairs of eye wear, and ensuring that patients receive compassionate and caring customer service from beginning to the end of their optical order.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong customer service and communication skills. Organizational skills and a detail-oriented personality is essential for this role. A basic literacy in navigating computer programs, with a special emphasis on electronic medical records is also highly recommended.
Optical Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and guide them through the optical shop
- Utilize online communication services (DemandForce) for messaging patients regarding order statuses
- Processing transactions and balancing patient charges
- Assist in adjusting and fitting patient frames
- Organizational and maintenance of frame board displays
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Computer literacy
- Willingness to travel to other locations as needed
- Full time position
- Traveling between offices
- Work some Saturdays
