What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Collector / AR Specialist (3 years exp req) position at Michiana Gastroenterology, Inc?
Michiana Gastroenterology is a very busy medical practice in an ever changing environment and is looking for an experienced medical collector to join our established billing team. The primary responsibility of the candidate would be working patient collections. The applicant must also be experienced in payer denials and appeals and must be detail-oriented with great organizational, communication and research skills with insurance payers. The applicant will also be responsible for posting payments to patient accounts. Applicants must take direction from others, as well as work independently and must be familiar with ICD 10 and CPT coding. Competitive pay and benefits will be offered.
