Salary range $95,000 – 112,150 - Position Overview:
Under the Principal’s direction, the Assistant Principal assists in the daily operation and function of a high school (grades 9-12) of approximately 1,500 students within Heritage High School. The high school administration team is comprised of a Principal, two Assistant Principals, a District Athletic Director, and two (2) Deans of Students.

Qualifications:
- Meet the state certification requirements to serve as a school administrator.
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate required.
- Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate preferred.
- Master’s Degree in school related field.
- Five years of successful teaching experience, with at least three years in a secondary school.
- Administrative experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead staff in change process through collaboration and problem solving.
- Proficiency in use of technology and knowledge of technology integration with curriculum.
- Experience in leading organizational and instructional change to support success for all learners.
- Knowledge of secondary curriculum, Michigan Merit Curriculum, Michigan Regulations and requirements, understanding of data analysis, MTSS, MIBLSI, progress monitoring, NWEA. Experience preferred.
- Understanding of master scheduling for a large secondary school. Experience preferred.
- Understanding of teacher evaluation; experience with the 5D Teacher Evaluation system desirable.

- Possible occasional lifting or pushing of up to 25 pounds
