POSITION OPENING: Continuing Education Credit Specialist

You’ll manage submissions, resolve challenges, and provide top-notch customer support to ensure smooth SCECH/SWCEH applications, documentation, and reporting. Serve as the main point of contact for Oakland Schools, Oakland University, local districts, and external agencies.

SALARY DETAILS:

$22.10 – $25.63 hourly based on relevant prior work experience, with the potential to earn up to $27.60 after employment with Oakland Schools.

Non-Exempt position / 12-month work year.

WHAT WE NEED:

  • Review SCECH applications, agendas, and documentation for compliance with MDE regulations.
  • Create and distribute SCECH documentation packets to coordinators upon MDE approval.
  • Verify accuracy of program records and upload credits to MOECS.
  • Review program applications and submit for approval, distribute SWCEH documentation and issue certificates for qualifying participants.
  • Maintain SCECH records for 7 years and ensure proper disposal per MDE guidelines.
  • Follow up with coordinators if documentation is not received within one month.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the SCECH process.
  • Provide guidance and training on SCECH process and MDE recertification.
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage participant records.
  • Generate data reports as needed (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Serve as the point of contact with MDE for SCECH compliance.
  • Attend the annual SCECH conference and keep the team informed on changes.
  • Ensure accuracy of department documents and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Manage department files, including confidential information.
  • Provide front desk coverage as needed.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of related experience
  • Familiarity working in databases
  • Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Google drive.
