Position Details
Ludington Elementary School Classroom Teacher Posting 2025-2026 School Year – Ludington Elementary School in Ludington, MI seeks a dynamic, relationship-driven classroom teacher to provide instruction to fourth-grade students in a building that works to provide students with an experience-rich education that promotes positive relationships, focused instruction, and a growth mindset. Ludington Elementary School opened in 2022 and is a state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility. The successful candidate will meet the requirements listed below:
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate learning for elementary students using the district-approved curriculum to drive instructional decisions that align with Michigan’s academic standards.
- Collaborate with teachers within the structure of a Professional Learning Community to enhance curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Establish a classroom structure that values positive relationships and supports the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports system.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction and engage students in the learning process. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

- The strong desire and ability to build meaningful, caring relationships with students.
- The skill and willingness to leverage the ASCD Whole Child model to ensure that students’ social, emotional, nutritional and health needs are addressed.
- The ability to collaboratively create and execute clear, logical instructional plans that produce strong results in student learning.
- The ability to integrate 21st Century competencies such as technology literacy, collaboration, communication, critical thinking and problem solving, goal setting, ethical citizenship, and personal accountability in curriculum.
- The capacity to create a system of ongoing data collection and analysis to inform a tiered intervention system. The capacity to align curriculum, instruction, and assessments while responding to the individual needs of students.
Required Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Education
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education Valid state licensing to meet Highly Qualified requirements
