POSITION : Psychologist
LOCATION : Orchard View Schools, Cardinal & Early Elementary
Q UALIFICATIONS :
- Must possess a valid Masters Degree in School Psychology
- Possess or be eligible for Michigan School Psychologist certification
- Must meet MDE accreditation standards
- Must have satisfactory ratings in most recent performance evaluations
- Experience in evaluations and interventions with high school aged students preferred
- Experience with Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) preferred
- Experience/able to demonstrate knowledge in facilitating the writing and implementation of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) preferred
- Experience/able to demonstrate knowledge in the evaluation/identification of special education eligibility preferred
- Experience/able to coordinate services and communication with outside agencies preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ability to work effectively as a team member who consults and collaborates with other school personnel in gathering and giving information on a case, and in establishing and planning for respective roles in the modification of student behavior
- Active participation in building pre-referral activities/interventions such as Multiple Tiers of Systems of Support (MTSS)
- Assist in the development and implementation of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP)
- Ability to work effectively with building level departments and interdisciplinary teams
- Complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Follow and implement all Board of Education policies, administrative guidelines and building regulations
- Willing to perform other duties as necessary and/or directed by special education administration
