Description: High School Math Teacher with emphasis on Algebra, Geometry and Pre-Calculus
Salary: At the appropriate step on the pay scale
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Math (EX) endorsement for grades 6-12
- Additional certification in any of the following areas- English (BA), Science (DX) or Social Studies (RX), preferred
- Ability to interact positively with, and motivate, students
- Ability to use data to plan and adjust instruction
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to work with department colleagues to improve student outcomes
- Willingness to accept responsibility for student learning and progress
- Ability to withstand the strain of teaching
- Must be reliable and punctual with excellent work-related attendance record
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable
