If so, the Copper Country Intermediate School District has an immediate opening for an Instructional Aide in Baraga, Michigan . As an Instructional Aide, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our mission by providing personalized assistance to students with special needs, helping them succeed both academically and socially.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $17.00 or more per hour starting pay based on experience.
  • PLUS $500 bonus stipends available each semester for those working in special education classrooms.
  • Health, dental, vision, prescription drug, life, and accidental death/dismemberment insurance.

  • Paid sick days, personal days, and 9 paid holidays; sick/personal leave bonus.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • 18 years of age or older and a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or two years post-secondary education in a related teaching/special education field of study a bonus.
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs helpful.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.
  • Flexibility to work with a team to assist students inside or outside of the classroom and may include supporting as a bus aide.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • A desire to continually increase your knowledge and an unrelenting ability to make positive change in the lives of students.
