Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or;
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZA or ZS endorsement

Responsibilities
- Plan, assess, and provide instruction for students based on the individual needs of each child
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans in accordance with the education plan and HighScope curriculum
- Create a positive and safe learning environment
- Utilize engaging learning activities through daily lesson plans
- Provide age appropriate language and literacy activities
- Interact with children during gross motor activities
- Promote and model positive mental health activities
- Collaborate with with Early Childhood staff
- Maintain necessary student records
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding children in program
- Conduct two home visits a year with parents
- Maintain strong parent volunteer program
- Participate in professional learning opportunities and trainings
- Attend parent meetings
- Other duties as assigned
This position reports to the Principal of Early Childhood
