Alba Public School is accepting applications for a dynamic, energetic Secondary Math Teacher For the 25-26 School Year. Coaching positions for boys/girls basketball, girls volleyball, boys/girls cross country are available.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The person selected for this position will be the one who offers the best combination of training, experience and attributes in accordance with the following:
- Must meet State of Michigan Certification requirements to teach Secondary Math – EX required; Successful experience as a secondary teacher, student teacher, or substitute teacher.
- Knowledge of scope and sequence of curriculum.
- Ability to recognize and respond to individual differences.
- Ability to implement a variety of instructional and assessment methods.
- Good interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Demonstrated interest in personal professional development.
- Experience as a collaborative team participant.
- Complete (at applicant’s expense) State-mandated Criminal Background Check.
DUTIES:
- Plan and deliver the Michigan Academic Mathematics Standards –using evidence-based instructional strategies
- Provide and maintain an orderly classroom environment
- Possess a working knowledge of formative and summative assessment strategies that align with the Michigan Academic Standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by administrator
- Experience with Google Classroom a plus
