Position Details
Position: Middle School Math (EX) Teacher
- Preferred EX K-8 or 6-12 Endorsement and
- Preference for a Second Teachable Endorsement in addition to the EX
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate Meet State of Michigan Highly Qualified Standards
Job Functions:
- Knowledge of age-appropriate grade-level common core standards/MI grade-level content expectations.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to build excitement and student buy-in for subject matter.
- Innovative teaching techniques, proven researched based programs, and good classroom management skills required.
Responsibilities:
- Instructs assigned students in the locations and at the times designated.
- Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
- Measures student progress to encourage the mastery of school district/state/national standards
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the ability to communicate these objectives to students.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Maintains accurate, complete and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation
- All other duties as assigned.
