Position: Middle School Social Studies Teacher – Beginning the 2025-26 School Year
Qualifications:
- Possess or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate
- Minimum requirement of Bachelor degree with a major/minor in Social Studies with RX endorsement
- Meet highly qualified requirements for Social Studies
- Able to assess and document student progress
- Professional in personal conduct and actions
- Excellent communication skills
Duties:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required
- Working knowledge of Social Studies Common Core Standards
- Ability to link instruction and assessments to Common Core Standards
- Ability to use formative assessments to inform instruction
- Create, deliver, and grade assessments/assignments as needed
- Ability to utilize effective instructional strategies
- Ability to differentiate instruction
- Must be able to effectively integrate technology into the curriculum
- Knowledge of Pyramid Response to Intervention, techniques for intervention and progress monitoring a plus
- Perform other duties as assigned.
