We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join the Lamphere Family. In this educational setting with a diverse student population, the successful candidate will inspire and educate students in a positive and engaging learning environment while developing and delivering a curriculum aligned with state and national standards. This role fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills through active collaboration with colleagues and ongoing professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Science (DX) or (DI) endorsement for grades 6-12
- Additional certification in any of the following areas- Language Arts (BX or BA); Social Studies (RX or CX); or Mathematics (EX), preferred
- Ability to interact positively with, and motivate, students
- Ability to use data to plan and adjust instruction
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to work with department colleagues to improve student outcomes
- Willingness to accept responsibility for student learning and progress
- Ability to withstand the strain of teaching
- Regular and punctual attendance is essential to the position
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable
