Quincy Community Schools
The Board of Education for Quincy Community Schools is in search of a new superintendent. This is only the preliminary posting; a detailed profile of the ideal candidate will be added at a later date. We encourage interested applicants to refrain from applying until the profile is posted.
Founded in 1830, Quincy is a small, incorporated village in Branch County with a population of about 1,550. The area of the town is about 1.56 square miles and is just minutes to the I-69 corridor with US 12 running through the heart of the village. Quincy is located about 15 miles from the Michigan/Indiana border. The Quincy area is home to campgrounds and recreation. Marble Lake and Old Sauk Trail are located in the district. The cities of Kalamazoo and Lansing are both a one-hour drive away.
Quincy Community Schools is a public school located in the village. The district serves 1,100 students across three buildings: Quincy High School, Quincy Middle School, and Jennings Elementary School. With strong community support the district offers a wide variety of academic and extracurricular programs. Early College, dual enrollment, advanced placement courses, and CTE opportunities are staples at the high school.
Salary and Contract Information
The Board will offer a comprehensive, multi-year contract. Compensation will be commensurate with the experience of the successful candidate and requirements of the position. A preliminary salary/annuity range of $120,000 to $140,000 has been established.
