About This Role:
We are looking for an experienced EHS professional to join our team as an EHS Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs that meet or exceed regulatory requirements. They will also be responsible for conducting EHS audits, leading risk assessments, and providing training to employees on EHS initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs to meet safety, environmental, and compliance objectives
• Conduct comprehensive EHS audits and lead risk assessments
• Provide training on EHS initiatives, including OSHA and environmental compliance programs
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., EPA, OSHA, state/local regulations)
• Develop and deliver training on EHS topics
• Compile, prepare, and submit required reports to federal, state, and local agencies
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the facility's emergency contingency plan
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role is required, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
