Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive EHS Manager to oversee and direct the EHS function at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will champion safety programs, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and drive safety performance across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage plant-wide EHS programs to meet safety, environmental, and compliance objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs including accident investigations, corrective actions, safety audits, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and hot work permits.
- Conduct comprehensive EHS audits and lead risk assessments.
- Drive a culture of safety through continuous improvement initiatives, behavior-based safety programs, and a focus on achieving zero incidents.
- Manage environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver training on EHS initiatives, including OSHA and environmental compliance programs.
- Compile, prepare, and submit required reports to federal, state, and local agencies.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the facility's emergency contingency plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in an EHS role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and safety standards.
Working Conditions
This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including chemicals, high noise levels, physical obstacles, and high, narrow, and confined areas.
Employees are required to wear PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear, in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.
