We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Palletizer Operator to join our team in the aluminum can manufacturing industry. The Palletizer Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the palletizing equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient packaging of finished products. This role plays a key part in ensuring that our products are properly stacked, packaged, and ready for shipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor automatic and manual palletizing equipment to ensure proper stacking and packaging of finished aluminum cans.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of palletizing equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Ensure proper placement and stacking of products to prevent damage during transit, following established guidelines for product integrity and packaging standards.
- Inspect packaged products for quality, ensuring that cans are properly stacked, labeled, and shrink-wrapped as required.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure seamless operations and address any issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote a safe workplace.
- Assist in loading and unloading pallets from storage areas and shipping docks.
- Ensure that the palletizing equipment is properly calibrated and adjusted to meet production specifications.
- Perform regular inspections and cleaning of the palletizer equipment to ensure smooth operation and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor product quality during the palletizing process, identifying and reporting any defects, damages, or discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain high-quality and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 years of experience operating palletizing equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment (experience in the aluminum can industry is a plus).
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), equipment handling, and safe material handling practices.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues and address them effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with other team members and supervisors.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and other hazards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated palletizing systems and conveyors in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with basic computer systems or ERP software to log production data.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy machinery, high noise levels, and varying temperatures. The Palletizer Operator is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety footwear, and follow all safety guidelines.
