The Michigan Catastrophic Claims Association (MCCA) is a private, non-profit association that serves as the state’s reinsurer for auto insurance companies. The Right Candidate
We’re looking for an individual that can meet with a variety of stakeholders to collect feedback and data to improve relationships, formulate useful practices and procedures, and help disseminate necessary information. Clear and concise oral and written communication skills, as well as active listening and engagement skills, are required. This newly created Claim Liaison position will provide the right candidate the opportunity to help define this vital role for the MCCA.

General Summary
Serves as liaison between the Association and members. Helps develop policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of member reimbursement, including by improving Association and member communications, evaluating current claims and reimbursement practices and procedures of the Association and members, and eliminating unnecessary impediments to reimbursement.
Essential Functions
1. Serves as point of contact liaison between the Association and members regarding both Association and member procedures and practices.
2. Facilitates communication and collaboration between the Association and members, building relationships and ensuring that information is shared effectively.
3. Identifies and evaluates potential areas of improvement for the Association’s and members’ procedures and practices.
4. Plays lead role in designing and implementing procedures and practices improvements.
5. Effectively monitors, coordinates and communicates strategic objectives

Employment Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced degree preferred, examples include MBA; The Institutes designations including CPCU, AIC-M, ARM, AINS, AIDA, etc.; American Educational Institute designations including: SCLA, FCLS, etc.
Experience
Seven years of experience preferred.
Leadership experience preferred.
Other Requirements
§ Proficiency in the use of common office software, including electronic spreadsheets, word processing programs, e-mail systems, and database reporting software.
§ Ability to establish and foster profitable and positive working relationships.
§ Clear and concise oral and written communication skills, as well as active listening and engagement skills.
§ Outstanding conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
§ Ability to travel regularly for work purposes, including visiting members located in Michigan and in other states
