Reports to: Building principal, unless otherwise noted
Work Schedule: School calendar year only, 7 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Education Required Level: High school diploma or equivalent and must meet State requirements (ParaPro Exam or a minimum of 60 college credit hours
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Supervise and maintain discipline of students who have been assigned to In-House Suspension Room during the school day.
- Take students to lunch and supervise them as they eat lunch
- Keep accurate records of who is in In-House Suspension Room each day
- Work with Assistant Principal and Counselors on behavior problems in the room
- Other supervisory or clerical work will be assigned by the school administrator, if no students are assigned to In-House Suspension Room
- Be responsible for the upkeep of the In-House Suspension Room
- All other duties and tasks deemed necessary by school administrators
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be Highly Qualified - meet current state requirements (ParaPro Exam or a minimum of 60 college credit hours)
- Previous experience working with students. Desire to make a positive difference and be a positive influence in students' lives. Understanding and experience in an educational setting. A positive employment history and recommendation from a previous supervisor.
Salary and Benefits
Payment Type: $13.00 per hour
