Custodian

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including classrooms, salon clinic areas, breakrooms and restrooms. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and hygienic space for employees and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as sanitizing restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a healthy environment.
• Execute industrial cleaning responsibilities, including the use of specialized equipment for floor care and buffing surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by performing porter duties such as litter removal and maintaining landscaping as needed.
• Assist with basic facilities maintenance and repair to ensure all areas are safe and functional.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Adhere to all safety protocols while using cleaning supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
• Familiarity with basic facilities maintenance tasks is beneficial.
