Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Sterile Processing Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sterile processing and a passion for teaching. As a Sterile Processing Instructor, you will be responsible for educating and training students on best practices for the sterilization and decontamination of medical instruments and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans and curriculum focused on sterile processing techniques and protocols.
- Provide hands-on training and demonstrations to students in a classroom and laboratory setting.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, exams, and practical demonstrations.
- Stay current with industry standards, trends, and advancements in sterile processing technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to ensure the highest quality of education and training.
- Mentor and support students in their professional development and career aspirations.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and community outreach programs.
Qualifications:
- Certification in Sterile Processing (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sterile processing or a related healthcare field.
- Previous teaching or training experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
