JOB DESCRIPTION
General Summary
The Courier Supervisor oversees pickups and deliveries, ensuring effective communication with various Solaris Health locations. This role involves managing a courier team, providing hands-on support for deliveries, and maintaining fleet vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. The supervisor will ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries while leading the team to meet the organization's logistical needs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the courier team, ensuring efficient operations and effective delivery services.
- Oversee and coordinate ongoing education and essential on-the-job training for the courier team.
- Responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and coordinating repair services for courier vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition.
- Pickup and delivery of various items, including lab specimens, deposits, medications, mail, and miscellaneous office supplies and equipment, to various locations affiliated with Solaris Health.
- Responds to inquiries about pick up and delivery schedules.
- Communicates with office managers at all locations regarding any changes to delivery schedules or other issues.
- Loads all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups.
- Completes daily pick up schedule in a timely manner.
- Delivers all daily picks (mail and packages) to your branch at the end of your shift.
- Safely operates company vehicle and obeys all traffic laws.
- Utilizes handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
- Works directly with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
- Evaluates traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.
- Maintain Travel Logs.
Requirements
Essential Job Function/Competencies

- Must have a Valid State Driver's License and clean driving record.

Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must maintain a valid vehicle insurance policy.
- 3 years of previous driver/courier experience is required.
Required Travel
- Travel between facilities in required state.
