What are the responsibilities and job description for the Friends Good Will Staff Crew position at Michigan Maritime Museum?
The Michigan Maritime Museum is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and go-getting individuals for Friends Good Will Staff Crew. This role works closely with the Commander of the Fleet to ensure the safe and smooth operation of Friends Good Will and the safety and enjoyment of guests.
Responsibilities include:
- Crewing aboard Friends Good Will.
- Keeping guests safe while aboard Friends Good Will.
- Conducting dockside tours.
- Historic and replica vessel maintenance.
- Answering guest questions about the On-Water Fleet.
- Other duties as assigned.
Strong guest service skills are desired. Membership in a UCSG approved random drug testing program and attendance at all sessions of Basic Seamanship Training is required. This is not a liveaboard position.
This is a seasonal, part-time position that runs May through September. This position requires a willingness to work weekends, weekdays, and occasional evenings and holidays.
