What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Service Associate position at Michigan Maritime Museum?
The Michigan Maritime Museum is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and go-getting individuals for our Guest Service Associate position. The Guest Service Associate is part of a team and works closely with Museum administrative staff to ensure smooth operations at the Welcome Desk and Ship’s Store.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing museum admissions
- Boat ticket and retail sales
- Checking in passengers for sails and cruises
- Answering phones and directing calls
- Relaying museum information to visitors
- Other duties as assigned.
This position is extremely dependent on quality guest service. Good communication skills, efficiency, multitasking ability, as well as an aptitude for working well with people is essential.
This position requires a willingness to work weekends, weekdays, and occasional evenings and holidays. Experience in the fields of hospitality, sales, retail, or related fields preferred.
