Job Summary

This is a 30-hour per week clinical position in the Michigan Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Psychology at Mott Children?s Hospital. The appointment involves participation within a multidisciplinary team with clinical responsibilities to provide direct billable clinical work and care coordination in evaluating and treatment disorders of incontinence in children and adolescents.

Responsibilities*

  • Conduct initial assessments of behavioral factors contributing to elimination disorders in pediatric patients.
  • Provide ongoing, evidence-based treatment targeting behaviors that interfere with progression towards continence.
  • Provide psychoeducation and engage patients and families into treatment.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team and facilitate case coordination and communication to improve patient care.
  • Assist in planning and delivery of education and outreach activities.
  • Help develop and maintain clinical resources for patients, families and clinicians.


Required Qualifications*

  • Master's degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and a State of Michigan Limited License as a Psychologist.
  • Applicants should have advanced training in evidence-based behavioral treatments for children and adolescents.
  • Experience and skills in case management and care coordination
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams


Desired Qualifications*

  • Background in principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Experience in providing parent management training to families
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with disorders of incontinence

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
