The Michigan Milk Producers Association is looking for an experienced CMMS Administrator to join our team, in our Ovid, MI facility. The CMMS Administrator will play a crucial role in the implementation of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) at the facilities. This position will be responsible for collecting asset information, preventive maintenance data from OEMs, and setting up the R&M inventory within the CMMS.
The CMMS Administrator will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of the system, enhancing maintenance efficiency and supporting operational excellence.

The Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) – established in 1916 – is a dairy farmer-owned and operated milk marketing cooperative and dairy processor. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
CMMS Implementation:
- Lead the implementation of the CMMS, including system configuration, data migration, and user training.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and define system requirements and processes.
Data Collection & Setup:
- Collect and organize asset information, including specifications, maintenance history, and operational data.
- Gather preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures from OEMs and internal sources.
- Set up and categorize inventory, including spare parts and consumables, in the CMMS.
User Training & Support:
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for users to ensure effective utilization of the CMMS.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance for CMMS users.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with Plant Engineers, Maintenance Managers, and project teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies and practices.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to promote a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor CMMS performance and user engagement, providing regular updates to management.
- Generate reports on maintenance metrics, asset performance, and inventory levels to inform decision-making.
Continuous Improvement:
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements within the CMMS to optimize preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, ensuring they align with production requirements and minimize downtime.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and input from maintenance staff and operators on potential improvements and innovations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in maintenance management to inform decision-making and implement relevant changes.
- Perform other duties, as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, supply chain, math or related discipline is recommended
- Proven experience in purchasing, inventory control, and maintenance planning within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with CMMS implementation or administration is preferred. (Maximo, PMC, PMX, SAP, MP2 etc.)
- Strong understanding of maintenance management principles, preventive maintenance practices, and asset management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data analysis tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong research skills and history of technical writing (grants, instructions, presentations)
- Six Sigma training is a strong recommendation
Physical Requirements and Essential Functions
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical hazards.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
