Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) is seeking an energetic and responsible IT Summer Intern to join our team as part of the 2025 summer internship. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn the ins-and-outs of our daily operations while supporting our IT department.
In this position, you will focus on providing support as a level one support desk technician and gain valuable experience in IT security through various projects. You will learn and assist in troubleshooting, systems administration, and understanding IT security practices, while contributing to the smooth functioning of the organization.
Who are we?
Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA), established in 1916, is a member owned and operated dairy cooperative. MMPA serves approximately 1,600 dairy farmer members in Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio. The dairy cooperative, the 10th largest in the U.S.
MMPA markets nearly 5 billion pounds of milk annually to fluid milk customers and food ingredient manufacturers. MMPA operates two manufacturing plants in Ovid and Constantine, Michigan and a cheese plant in Middlebury, Indiana. Products made at the Michigan plants include butter, ultra-filtered milk, powdered milk, cream and condensed skim milk. These products are sold to a wide range of food manufacturers who make end-use products such as candy, ice cream, pudding, baked goods, cheese and yogurt.

Your Profile
- Strong interest in the IT Support and/or Security industries
- High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Must be 18 years of age
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
