Michigan Millers is seeking a Lead Product Implementation Analyst to join our team!

The individual in this role will have the opportunity to provide daily management to the Product Implementation Analyst/Business Analyst (PIA/BA) team through staffing, performance management, training, and development. Our Product Implementation Analyst/Business Analyst team works closely with our Commercial Lines, Product Development, and IT departments to enhance products and technology in support of the achievement of our organizational objectives.

What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?

  • Selects, coaches, directs and develops individuals to achieve individual, department and company goals.
  • Manages the workload of Product Implementation Analyst (PIA) and/or Business Analyst (BA) unit to ensure work is distributed appropriately across all team members; assesses and identifies the need for product implementation and/or business analysis staff necessary to complete implementation efforts.
  • Holds accountability for the performance of PIAs and/or BAs, and the employment, training, motivation and evaluation of assigned staff.
  • Works consistently to maintain and improve employee engagement and job satisfaction.
  • Ensures assigned PIA and/or BA unit provides prompt, courteous service by developing and implementing best practices to ensure all functions are fully documented, supportable and in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensures timely delivery of PIA and/or BA projects and tasks, communicating delays and roadblocks with leadership as needed.
  • Holds Accountability for development of metrics and related reporting tools to improve team performance.
  • Identifies opportunities to deliver business value through business process improvement, organizational change and/or technology integration.
  • Endorses change and identify industry best practices to modify or adopt; develop management best practices and participate in process implementation planning and success measurement.
  • Leads improvements in requirements analysis strategy, processes, and standards to grow Agile best practices and requirements analysis approaches.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Decisions have significant impact on results of the assigned business unit.
  • Recommends and implements industry best practices.
  • Interprets and executes policies and guidelines.
  • Takes the lead and mobilizes action to resolve problems and/or improve processes swiftly.
  • Applies knowledge and experience to help solve problems of broad scope and complexity.
  • Adapts to changing environment, ensuring solutions are consistent with organizational strategy to achieve milestones and objectives, and constructively impact the organization.

What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?

  • Prior experience leading requirements gathering, analysis, user journeys, test scenario identification, and user acceptance testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, including coaching or training in a formal setting.
  • Demonstrated experience providing analysis leadership, creating and supporting teamwork, open communication, innovation, process improvement, and best practice excellence.
  • Ability to lead change with positive influence on people and processes.
  • A team player able to effectively collaborate with others Critical Skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced organizational and prioritization skills; able to accomplish multiple priorities of higher impact and risk within specified timeframe.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences, across all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree; experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
  • Proficient using various equipment and Office software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,etc).
  • Proficient using various communication and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, etc).

What will our ideal candidate have?

  • 5 years business experience of requirements gathering and/or analysis experience; Or alternatively, 7 years of experience in a business, IT, or related role.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and presentations skills.
  • Previous experience in the Insurance Industry or understanding of Insurance Administration Systems is helpful and preferred.

Compensation overview

The full hiring range for this role is $97,090 - $121,315, annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role. Candidates looking for compensation outside of the posted range are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their individual qualifications and/or may be considered for other positions.
