What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-Term Full-Time Nanny in Ada position at Michigan Nanny Solutions?
Long-Term Full-Time Nanny Opportunity with Growth Potential!
Position Overview:
Michigan Nanny Solutions is excited to present a rewarding opportunity for an experienced and nurturing Full-Time Nanny to join a loving, dual-physician family in Ada. This role offers 40 guaranteed hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM. You’ll primarily focus on providing exceptional care for two delightful daughters, ages 4.5 years and 2 years, while helping to create a supportive and engaging home environment. Over time, the role will naturally evolve to include additional Family Assistant responsibilities as the children grow.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- Focus on Childcare Excellence: Your primary focus will be on nurturing and guiding the children through their developmental milestones. Create a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where they can thrive.
- Opportunity for Growth: This position offers a clear path to grow into a Family Assistant role over time, gradually adding household management tasks as the children’s needs evolve.
- Family-Centered Environment: Work with a family that values collaboration, open communication, and mutual respect. Your contributions will be highly valued, and you’ll play a key role in supporting the family’s work-life balance.
- Long-Term Stability: The family is seeking a dedicated nanny for the long term, ideally someone who will become a trusted and cherished part of their lives for many years.
Your Responsibilities:
- Dedicated Childcare: Provide attentive, loving care tailored to each child’s emotional, social, and developmental needs. Transport the older child to and from preschool and plan age-appropriate outings and activities for the toddler.
- Engaging Activities: Foster creativity, learning, and physical activity through books, crafts, outdoor play, and other enriching experiences. Support early learning and exploration in fun and meaningful ways.
- Daily Routines: Help the children navigate their routines, including meals, naps, and activities. Encourage independence while maintaining a structured and nurturing environment.
- Future Household Support: As the children grow and spend more time in school, gradually take on additional household tasks such as meal prep, grocery shopping, and light household organization.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience: You have at least three years of professional childcare experience, including at least one year as a nanny. Experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children is highly valued.
- Skills: You are an organized, proactive, and nurturing caregiver. You excel at creating engaging activities, maintaining structure, and adapting to the needs of a busy household.
- Personality: You are warm, energetic, and naturally maternal. You find joy in helping children grow and thrive and take pride in your role as a caregiver.
- Professionalism: You are reliable, flexible, and committed to building a long-term relationship with the family. You thrive in collaborative environments and maintain open, respectful communication with parents.
Additional Requirements:
- At least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the USA
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Current Infant/Toddler CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug test
- Up-to-date vaccinations (COVID and flu shot—non-negotiable)
Perks and Benefits:
