Ophthalmic Specialists of Michigan (OSM) is currently hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Scribe at their Dearborn, MI Office.
Typical schedule is Monday - Friday day shift no late nights. Full benefits offered including eligible to participate in company 401k program with company match.
The Ophthalmic Scribe is responsible for promoting quality patient care by assisting the physician with patient examinations including the documentation of patient medical records, patient education and in office procedures.
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED required.
Knowledge of ophthalmology, optometry, and/or healthcare is required.
At least two years of medical office experience is preferred.
Experience and demonstrated proficiency with utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) is required.
Completion of Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Medical Assistant (MA) is preferred.
The ability to effectively communicate information and ideas both verbally and in written format.
Ability to work independently but also to work effectively with others as a team to accomplish objectives and goals.
Strong computer and keyboarding skills, with the ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute (WPM).
