Position Summary
The Research Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting both research initiatives and clinical operations. This position is responsible for assisting with research studies, patient-reported outcomes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory protocols. The Research Coordinator develops and maintains accurate source materials, collects and reports data, and ensures adherence to research procedures and best practices. Additionally, this role provides support on the clinical phone line, handling patient-related inquiries, and managing data entry to maintain accurate records
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting with research studies and patient-reported outcomes.
- Performs all duties in a manner, which promotes team concept and reflects the Orthopedic mission and philosophy.
- Ensures site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities
- Develops accurate source materials and ensures compliance from site staff.
- Provides accurate and timely data collection, documentation, entry, and reporting.
- Provide support on the clinical phone line for all patient-related clinical inquiries
- Enter patient and office data into computer systems to maintain accurate records.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support the smooth operation of the clinic.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
- At least one year of medical experience
- Associates or Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a science, health science, pharmacy or related field, experience working with patients, orthopedic background preferred, research certification (CCRP, CITI), knowledge of submitting and maintaining studies through the IRB.
