Position Summary
The Project Manager will assist the MOS Executive Committee in managing and organizing projects to ensure efficient execution, alignment with organizational goals, and delivery of high-quality results. The Project Manager will play a vital role in updating project timelines, budgets, and team coordination to ensure successful project outcomes that support organizational growth and impact.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison for the President, Executive Committee, and leadership team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, mission, and policies.
- Track strategic initiatives, provide regular updates, and ensure successful execution of organizational priorities.
- Prepare and distribute the monthly member newsletter by collecting data, garnering input from business leaders, and assembling content.
- Prepare and distribute member memos and communications at the request of the MOS president.
- Attend leadership and committee meetings, prepare agendas, document minutes, and track actionable items.
- Oversee all project phases, from initiation to execution and post-project evaluation, capturing lessons learned and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, conceptualize solutions, and develop comprehensive project plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
- Monitor and adjust project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones while staying within budget.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, working collaboratively with physicians and teams to resolve challenges effectively.
- Conduct site visits and field reviews as needed to monitor project progress and compliance.
- Facilitate effective communication among multidisciplinary teams, ensuring transparency on project progress, updates, and changes.
- Lead presentations and contribute to meetings with stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Mentor and develop team members on project management best practices, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
- Assist leadership in resource allocation, financial planning, and maintaining project budgets.
- Provide guidance on project contracts and identify opportunities for additional services or improvements.
- Support the identification of new project opportunities, contribute to proposal development, and build relationships to foster business growth.
Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in healthcare or a related industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and related software.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to interact with diverse teams at varying organizational levels.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovative solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, regulations, and compliance requirements is a plus.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is preferred but not required.
