Position Summary

The UrgentOrtho Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations at both UrgentOrtho locations, ensuring exceptional patient care, staff performance, and compliance with organizational policies. This full-time role encompasses administrative, supervisory, and operational tasks to support departmental success. The UrgentOrtho Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the coordination and oversight of all UrgentOrtho team members within designated location(s). This position is responsible for ensuring that the team is well-equipped, trained, and adheres to the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across all UrgentOrtho locations, ensuring seamless workflows, patient flow, and adherence to clinic protocols.
  • Supervise staff, monitor resource allocation, and provide support for clinical and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Manage payroll, scheduling, and staff coverage, including resolving conflicts and escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Development Manager to guide, train, and evaluate team performance, ensuring resources, tools, and training programs meet operational needs.
  • Maintain clinic workflows, monitor provider tasks and patient cases, and ensure thorough documentation through chart audits.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and staff, addressing concerns, maintaining effective relationships, and upholding organizational policies and HIPAA standards.
  • Ensure medical and laboratory supplies are adequately stocked and address equipment repairs with vendors as needed.
  • Provide performance evaluations, corrective actions, and feedback to team members while conducting onboarding, shadow sessions, and ongoing training for new hires.
  • Coordinate urgent staffing needs, manage team schedules, and communicate effectively with department heads and clinic coordinators.
  • Uphold MOS policies, professionalism, and cleanliness standards while fostering employee morale and promoting a positive team environment.
  • Attend leadership meetings, continuous training sessions, and communicate updates to ensure protocols and procedures are accurate and current.
  • Manage building and maintenance repairs in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Supervise the UrgentOrtho team by collaborating with the Operations Development Manager, to effectively manage supervisory responsibilities, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • On call coverage for staff on weekends for urgent requests and call ins.
  • Provide comprehensive training support to the team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Plan, assign, and direct tasks for the team, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
  • Conduct performance appraisals to assess the performance of the team and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Implement recognition and reward systems to motivate and acknowledge outstanding performance within the team.
  • Address employee complaints and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Take appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines and policies.

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a healthcare-based role.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree is preferred
  • Completion of a certified or registered Medical Assistant program (CMA) preferred
