Michigan Orthopedic Center seeks a patient focused, clinically trained, dynamic full-time or part-time Medical Assistant who wishes to join a high performing team and a great environment.
Our next team member will be are expected to:
- Independently support our providers by assisting up to 45 patients per day, including obtaining vitals, confirming medical history, and entering information into the EHR
- Assist with injections, suture removal, and other orthopedic procedures
- Support the mission to ensure patients to have a successful, patient focused experience
- Work collaboratively with high functioning team
Applicants are required to have successfully completed formal training as a Medical Assistant with certification preferred. Prior experience with EHR required,

Michigan Orthopedic Center is a multi-physician surgical practice serving mid-Michigan since 1990. We are committed to providing state-of-the art, high quality orthopedic care and a professional, compassionate patient experience. Our subspecialty fellowship trained surgeons treat complex orthopedic surgical issues including joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder, foot and ankle surgery, fracture surgery, spinal surgery and sports medicine.

Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
Preferred: Experience in Orthopedics
Preferred: Experience with ModMed
Preferred: Vital signs experience
Preferred: Certified Medical Assistant
Preferred: CPR Certification
Preferred: ICD Coding
- Effectively executes clinical processes and protocols, as outlined
- Greets patients and escorts them to the applicable exam room
- Obtains all necessary medical information for providers including chief complaint, symptoms, medical history, blood pressure, temperature, etc.
- Assists providers in all potential treatments,
- Assures patients are provided with all the information, documents, etc. needed, as identified by the provider
- Complies with all OSHA, HIPAA and Health Department requirements
- Completes accurate and timely documentation, as assigned
- Assists with scribe duties, as assigned
- Performs other duties, as assigned
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information and ensure patients’ right to privacy
- Assists providers and other team members as appropriate when available.
