Ann Arbor Surgical Center is looking for a Certified Sterile Processing Technician. The position is a contingent position. Duties
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment according to established protocols.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness and proper functioning before sterilization.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during the handling of sterile items.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for procedures.
- Adhere to safety regulations and infection control policies at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and education related to sterile processing practices.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures.
- Must have recent experience in Ophthalmology
- Strong inventory management skills to track supplies effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
