OPHTHALMIC FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST
We are a busy and growing ophthalmic practice specializing in retina disease that is looking for a full time Front Desk Receptionist to help maintain the high quality of care we offer to our patients. The ideal candidate is well-versed in medical insurance and phone systems and is able to multi-task.
Responsibilities include:
· Ensure patient information is accurate and complete
· Follow all regulations and guidelines set by Medicare, state programs, and HMO/PPO
· Schedule appointments for patients
· Answer a mulit-line phone
· Interface with referring doctors and their personnel
· Maintain patient charts within EMR system
· Collect co-insurance, deductibles and other fees from patients
· Perform other administrative duties and assist in clinic flow as needed
Requirements and Qualifications include:
· Preferred 2 years’ experience in a medical office
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
· Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Strong customer service skills and comfortable answering both patient and insurance company questions
The position is full time traveling to three offices, Novi, Ypsilanti and Dearborn.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
