MSA Sports Coordinator – Adminstration and Budgets
Position Summary: The Sports Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Athletic Director by managing the administrative functions of all sports programs within MSA. This includes overseeing budgets, expense tracking, payment processing, and other financial operations. The position is essential to the day-today operations of all sports programs, ensuring a seamless customer experience across all MSA brands by handling varied administrative tasks and maintaining clear communication with parents and athletes.
Working closely with the MSA Operations Director and financial team, the Sports Coordinator will contribute to developing best practices for budget tracking, providing insights to support informed decision-making for future sports initiatives under the supervision of the Athletic Director.
Responsibilities
• Verify, track, and process sports-related payables to maintain budget transparency and compliance.
• Collaborate with the finance team to coordinate club billing processes, handle payments, and manage customer accounts.
• Oversee and manage payroll submission for coaching staff and officials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and implement tracking systems to monitor the accuracy of budget and identify spending trends across sports programs.
• Provide regular reporting and insights to support informed decision-making regarding budgetary allocations
• Ensure the accuracy of sports registrations by conducting thorough reviews and audits.
• Assist sports teams and departments in managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely followup and resolution of outstanding balances.
• Serve as a primary liaison with MSA’s scholarship partner, Chance Sports, to facilitate support for athletes requiring financial assistance.
• Maintain open and professional communication with parents, coaches, and other affiliates through email and phone correspondence.
• Address inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support to enhance programming and club activities, including scheduling, coordination, and resource allocation.
• Assist in organizing events and ensuring operational preparedness.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and objectives of the organization. Requirements
• Strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities for budget and payroll management. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with registration software systems
• Intrinsically motivated; ability to take ideas or concepts from startup to completion with little guidance
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
• Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders. • Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
