Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced General Sugar Packer to join our team at the Croswell Facility. As a General Sugar Packer, you will be responsible for packaging sugar to meet customer specifications while ensuring compliance with regulatory and Safe Quality Food requirements. You must be able to operate fork-truck training classes and drive when required. Your primary responsibilities will include running consumer packaging equipment at set rates, performing quality checks to verify finished products meet customer requirements, completing necessary documentation, lifting up to 100 pounds, operating sugar bagging and palletizing equipment, and demonstrating good communication skills. You must also perform all assigned tasks in a safe manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful as a General Sugar Packer, you must possess previous work experience in a production environment, basic computer skills, ability to learn and follow SQF & GMP quality system guidelines and safety practices, physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and willingness to work any shift and weekend overtime as required. A high school diploma is preferred. You must also demonstrate ability to work well with others in a team environment, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced and varying production environment, ability to quickly solve problems and make decisions, self-starting work ethic and positive can-do attitude, and ability to stay focused and function with a strong attention to details.
