Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Electrician/Instrument Technician to join our team at the Croswell Factory. This is an hourly position working various schedules and is part of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers, and Grain Millers Local # 262-G.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain and install electrical and instrumentation systems in and around the warehouse.
- Install conduit for electrical and instrumentation wiring, ensuring correct size and configuration.
- Pull wire for electrical or instrument requirements, verifying correct size and number of conductors.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets sets, pipe wrenches, hammers, and taps to install electrical and instrument devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits to identify problems and restore equipment operation.
Requirements
- State of Michigan Journeyman or Masters License.
- Industrial, mechanical or maintenance background (e.g., electrical, machining or welding) and related experience.
- Completion of Michigan Sugar Company's Electrical/Instrument Apprenticeship program and certification in approved Electrical Trades Educational Program and Instrumentation Instruction.
- Ability to program PLCs and VFDs.
- Familiarity with ladder logic and electrical/instrumentation prints.
- Knowledge of networking and system boot-up.
- Understanding of power grid and power transformers.
