Michigan Wheel is looking for a 3rd shift CNC Operator in our Machine Shop.
The machine shop is where you can start to see what our final product will look like. After the product leaves our foundry it goes to our machine shop here our CNC operator move the propeller or rudder with the help of overhead cranes into our machines. They may need to change out tools and run programs to get these product ready for the final step of polishing.
As a CNC Operator you will need to know or learn how to complete the following tasks plus many more:
- How to read and follow details on shop orders and routers
- Enter information in the machine computer
- How to assess and utilize the correct equipment needed for each product
- Uses of the overhead crane
- The ability to stay on task and hit your production goals
The perfect applicant has a keen attention to detail understands quality and safety standards. Knows how to read blueprints and how to use measuring equipment. Along with being a great team player and a positive addition to the team.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Past CNC Experience
Physical Demands:
- Stand at work station
- Push/pull/lift up to 75 pounds
Work environment:
Employees move around the plant by walking, or driving. There are times when the environment is hot or cold (depending on the season) due to overhead door being open. Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment: Safety Glasses with side shields, hearing protection and steel-toed work shoes required.CNC Operator
