What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician (Roof Repairs) - Wildlife Control Operator position at Michigan Wildlife Solutions?
Michigan Wildlife Solutions is a leading wildlife control company specializing in the humane and effective removal of nuisance wildlife. We serve both residential and commercial customers and take pride in our commitment to providing the highest level of customer service and satisfaction. We are a small, family-owned business that has been in business for over 23 years. We keep a laid back atmosphere, while diligently serving our customers with urgent wildlife problems. We are approaching our busy season and as we continue to grow and get busier, we are looking to add to our team as soon as possible.
Michigan Wildlife Solutions is seeking a Service Technician - Wildlife Control Operator to join our nuisance wildlife control team. As a Service Technician - Wildlife Control Operator you will be responsible for working as a team with other WCO's to complete our wildlife removal and prevention jobs. These jobs require tasks such as simple roof repairs, caulking, screening, flashing, installing deck barriers, installing vent guards and chimney caps, setting traps, etc.. Must be comfortable with heights in order to work on roofs, as well as tight spaces to work in attics.
As a Service Technician - Wildlife Control Operator you can expect your day to go as follows:
To start your day, you'll meet up with other Wildlife Control Operators at our office in Fenton to go over your schedule for the day, pick up materials needed and grab a company vehicle. You will then head to your first exclusion and prevention job of the day where you will complete the necessary repairs needed for that job. You will typically be working with another WCO or as a team for safety. Once that job is completed you would then head to the next job of the day, until all jobs on your schedule are completed. At the end of the day you'll come back to the office to drop off the company vehicle and clock-out.
We do not have set hours, so every day is different depending on the amount of jobs scheduled. You can typically expect to start around 7:00am and work until 4:00 or 5:00pm. During our peak busy season you can expect to work longer hours. As a family business, we understand that everyone has a family and a life outside of work and our goal to have plenty of staff in order for everyone to take the time off they need.
